noID.cards Relay
When you pay with your card, a request with encrypted card data is sent to a noID.cards relay. The relay forwards the request to your phone where the payment is processed.
Encrypted Requests
Your phone decrypts the data using the unique encryption keys assigned by the app when configuring the card, which are stored locally on your phone.
Payment Security
On each request the app will check that the request is new and unique, and comes from a user's card.
Additionaly, you can set limits like a PIN, a maximum payment amount or a minimum time between payments.

WHAT MAKES NOID.CARDS DIFFERENT?
The main objective of noID.cards is to make Bolt Cards easy to use. In order to achieve this we transform your phone in a payment processor. Unlike other implementations you don’t need a dedicated server to process the payment requests from your cards. All happens in your noID.cards app.
WHICH WALLETS CAN I LINK TO THE CARD?
Currently a LndHub.io Lightning wallet is created everytime you configure a new card. You can also link the card to any existing LndHub compatible wallet, like BlueWallet or Zap. We are working to bring you more wallet options in the future.
HOW can i use my noid.cards?
Your card can be accepted by any merchant with a NFC Lightning wallet.

Can I use the noID.cards app with other ntag424 cards?
For the moment this is not possible. We will open the app to all NTAG424 cards soon.
IS THE CARD COMPATIBLE WITH OTHER BOLT CARD IMPLEMENTATIONS?
Yes, all noID.cards are also compatible with other Bolt Card implementations, like LNBits or CoinCorner. Just make sure to delete your card from the noID.cards app to reset the keys.
